Brubeck starts his progressive jazz. Golden notes of Jazz Our annual spring concert was held in Ellis Auditorium this year and featured the Dave Brubeck Quartet. For two hours he explored jazz from the Kansas City Blues to his own improvisations. Accompanying Dave, who was at the piano, were Paul Desmond on sax; Joe Morello on drums; and Gene Wright on bass. Guy Gattis, president of Religious Council, introduces the Liturgical Jazz program. R.E.W. Stain glass windows were on display in the Administration Building. God . . . the Bible . . . that they might be One were all brought to us by Dr. Baxter during R. E. W. His first ad- dress showed us God, the second brought out that the Bible is an inspired book, and his last address used the theme on Christian unity. Besides the addresses we had a program of Liturgical Jazz and a lecture on Contemporary Art and Religion. An art display was also featured during the week.
