SENIOR CLASS HISTORY We, the Seniors of '60, met as freshmen in September of '56 with our sponsor, Mr. Boeckman. At our first meeting we elected the following officers: President, Dick Webberg Vice-President, Bonny Fryrcarg Secre- tary and Treasurer, Louise Baker, Historian, Kathie Oliver, Reporter, Karen Adams We were initiates on September 19, 1956 by the sophomores. After- wards we treated them to a wiener roast. Louise Baker was candidate for Barnwarming Queen. Dick Webber was crowned King of thc Kitchenwarming. Kathie Oliver was candidate for the Rose Dance. The class met as sophomores on September U, 1957. On this date we elected the following students to serve as officers: President, Dick webberg Vice-President, John Eager, Secretary and Treasurer, Bonny Fryrearg Historian, Karen Adams, Reporter, Helen Anthony. with the assistance of our sponsor, Mr. Van Gels, we initiated the t t d t wiener roast freshmen of '58, This was our year to be rea e o a . Karen Adams was candidate for Barnwarming Queen. Mike Shepard was crowned King of the Kitchenwarming. Kathie Oliver was candidate for the Polio Drive Queen. Mary Ransford was the candidate for the Rose Dance QueenThere were 64 students present at the first meeting of our junior W lected the following class officers: President, Mike Shepardg year. e e Vice-President, Kathie Oliver, Secretary and Treasurer, Dorothy Alex- anderg Reporter, Max Eggleston. Hobart Baker was candidate for the Kitchenwarming King. Mary June Rood was candidate for the Barnwarming Queen. Mary Hansford was candi- date for the Polio Drive Queen. Norma Bradford was crowned Queen of the Rose Dance. The junior play, 'Junior Prom', was presented on April 9, 1959, under the direction of Mr. Max Powell. Twelve of the students took part in the play. The Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom was held on May l, 1959. with the help of our sponsor, Mr. Richard Franklin, we featured the theme 'Outer Space'. The main attraction was a lowered ceiling of silver stars and a large silver rocket. The class officers of the senior year were: President, Mike Shepard: Vice-President, Kent Dunng Secretary and Treasurer, Kathie Oliverg Report- er, Max Eggleston, Historian, Joan Iwanicki. bn Marilyn Minsker was Queen candidate for the Barnwarming. David Jo ston was King candidate for the Kitchenwarming. Mary Ransford was the Queen candidate for the Polio Drive. Diana Davidson was Queen candidate for the Rose Dance. Th enior lay 'Seventeen is Terrific', was presented on March 17, e s p 1960, under the direction of Mr. Max Powell. Twelve of the students took part in the play. The Junior Class of '60 held a banquet and prom in our honor on May 6, 1960. The school gymnasium was beautifully decorated around the theme 'The South'. Mid-night May llth marked the start of our eni t 1 t R k Beach. We returned on Sunday morning, May 15. S or r p O oc away The Baccalaureate was held May 15 and our Commencement, May 19, 1960, Thus, we bade 'God Be with Ye' to our f 1 d d gig: and set forth to fulfill our motto? ?3es5agnBZ:g5::s5gnTh?23 Sgach'
