The 1982 Memphis boys’ ju- nior varsity baseball squad end- ed the season with a 9 and 3 record and a second place finish in the league. Coach Ken Rey- gaert attributed the team’s success to hard work, desire, and determination. Memphis’ varsity squads can be assured of suc- cessful seasons in the next few years with this group of talented baseball players. 119

Coached by Ms. Jackie Sage and led by tri-captains senior Deb Treend, junior Cindy Regan, and sophomore Laure Owens, the team took a fourth place finish in the league meet. The season was highlighted by the perfor- mances of Shelli Jurkowski, who was a state finalist in the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
