Al- though we are a young team (only two seniors) and a rela- tively small team (20 members). Every girl gave at least 100%, if not more. It was not only a great team but also a group of fine individuals. It was a pleasure to be associated with such a fine team. We would like to give a special congratulations to Ms. Biliki for her honorary title of COACH of the Year. Congratulations! 68

Benny George- 100 yd. Dash The 1977 Track Team performed well, although the rec- ord did not indicate so. A major problem was the lack of participants. The ten member team attempted to succeed at a sport that requires a minimum of 25 men. A very positive encouragement is that all of the 1977 members will be re- turning lettermen. They will serve as a very fine nucleus for the ’78 season, coupled with several promising freshman. The outlook for next year is very good. A definite advantage to track is that it is both a TEAM and individual sport. A team may suffer due to lack of mem- bers, but separately, each runner can strive and satisfy per- sonal goals and experience success. Next years goal is to achieve success in both catagories.
