FFA Does Well at Stock Shows FFA members were kept busy with projects, money making activities, and contests throughout the year. Money making projects included handling the concession stand at all home football games, a fruit sale, and tending an alfalfa hay field, cutting, baling and selling the hay. Individual projects were shown at the Amarillo Stock Show where Randy Lambert's Yorkshire bar- row took a ribbon. At the stock show in Fort Worth, the chapter brought home 13 ribbons including a first place rib- bon for Larry Foster's Berkshire. Aaron Williams was selected as Outstanding Farmer. I8 GREENHANDS The Grass Team took third place banner at the Hall, Childress SWCD contest. Judging teams in Livestock, Land, Dairy Cattle, and Dairy products participated in contest at both West Texas State University and Texas Tech. The chapter ended the year with a father-son bar- beque in the city park. Here it was announced that Aaron Williams had received the Chapter Farmer Award, and Rodney Guy, Outstanding Greenhand Award. Mr. Don Ferrel and Mr. James Floyd received Honorary Chapter Farmer Awards for their contributions to the chapter. FFA OFFICERS: A. Williams - Pres., T, Lindsey - Sentinel, A. Beasley - Fleporterg S.
