In this age filled with international prob- lems and relations people must be able to communicate with the peoples of other countries in their native tongue. Equally es- sential is a basic knowledge of the culture,- economics, politics, and regional customs of these countries. Central's language depart- ment, which includes four years of Latin, French, and Spanish, and two years of Rus- sian, prepares Centralities to take an active part in such relations.
