No, they're really a part of the school. Some years ago an organiza- tion was formed to promote the interest of parents of students at Catholic High and the friends of the school. The CHAPS has continued to grow since that day, not only in numbers, but in the genuine interest of the members. Now, the organ- ization underwrites many of the extra-curricular activities of the students and has done much in helping make Catholic High one of the finest schools in the South. The above photo shows Father John A. Elliott, Principal, with the officers, left to right: Mrs. Priddy, Mrs. Willett and Vice- President, Mr. Moore.
