Second 'OW' Rivallo' Senor Jose Marin, formerly one ofthe outstand- ing basketball players in Spain, brought his ideas to Catholic High from Valencia and everyone has con- ceded that they are pretty good. Taking a squad of green men, Marin developed them into a group of outstanding players. Many of his men were lost to him at various times during the season due to the fact that they were too good, for when they had developed sufficiently they moved up to the Varsity. Nevertheless, his squad boasted a .750 average for the season. 68 COACH JOSE MARIN

Although not a championship team this year, the Terriers were able to contribute to some of the most outstanding Memphis Prep League basketball games this year. Highlight of the season came with the naming of For- ward Bill Shelly to the Memphis PRESS- SCIMITAR All-City basketball team and the COMMERCIAL-APPEAL second team. Shelly consistently kept Catholic in every game and managed to maintain a good standing in the scoring race. The Varsity was handled by Asst. Coach Charlie Clunan.
