Kenneth J. Boys Principal In his second year as principal of Me- morial, Mr. Bays continued to bring an in- creased sense of unity, sportsmanship and spirit to the school. His leadership of the students has proven him to be a loyal and devoted Charger. Holding a B.S. degree from Southwest Mis- souri State College he also holds an M.Ed. from the University of Tulsa. Mr. Bays earned the Professional Diploma in 1959 and is pres- ently serving as President of the Tulsa Sec- ondary School Principals Association. Outside of maintaining the standing of a large school, Mr. Bays also participates active- ly in the National Guard Program. Recently promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, he devotes much of his spare time to flying and other Air Force activities. He has served fourteen years as a pilot with the Oklahoma Air National Guard, having logged over five thousand hours in both let fighters and four- engine transport planes. Mr. Bays receives the oak leaves, insignia of his new rank Mr. Bays contemplates his trip to Viet Nam. 9 fx. Mr. Bays ioins students in cheering forthe Chargers, iv-f'
