Entrusted with the Trauma of student absences, office personnel were often amazed at the variety of illnesses that struck Memorialites, particularly on March IO when only 72 seniors felt up to coming. With aid of student assistants and runners, messages were delivered with great speed throughout the day. Meanwhile, the registrar's office was kept busy by seniors requesting to have their transcripts sent or by new students who had to be registered.
