Rapid Reading Raises Rates The essence ot improvement is concentration. or so it seems. The most usetul course you can take ac- cording to counselors, is the rapid reading pro- gram ottered by Mrs. Belva Mettner. The course employed several types ot equipment in an et- tort to increase reading speed and comprehen- sion. Use ot controlled readers, shadowscopes, rateometers, the SRA reading labs, and a variety ot paperbacks and other texts doubled the read- ing rate ot most students taking the course.
