Mustangs Win Important Troian Game. Quarterback Roland Carter combined with Ken Pearson tor two quick touch- down strikes and then kicked a QI yard tield goal to help the Mustangs win their tirst district start I6-6 over the South Houston Trojans. A good South Houston team was constantly stopped cold by the Memorial detense and only with a last minute touchdown blocked another Mustang shutout. But the vic- tory marked Memorial's tirst win over the Trojans, the tirst time the Mustangs had coppecl the district opener and the tirst string ot tive consecutive wins in Memorials' tootball history.
