Ce ae Advanced Work Offered in Sciences The advanced work done in MHS science courses enables students to take advanced placement in college, as well as to achieve recognition in the Westinghouse Talent Search, Greater Houston Sci- ence Fair, National Scholarship Examination, Engi- neering Aptitude Search, American Chemical So- ciety Examination, and the Interscholastic League Science and Slide Rule tests. Textbook lessons are supplemented by corre- sponding laboratory work. Feeding chickens, run- ning up stairs to determine horsepower, and cre- ating newer and even more powerful smells are among the many activities.
