Meeting weekly in the library classroom, the CSU discusses topics such as the various Christian denominations, witnessing for Christ, the Bible, and family living. Frequently guest speakers meet with the members and every few months the group visits a different church to study meth- ods of worship. The club’s major activities include a program meeting once a month for instruction, and a second monthly meeting to carry on business per- taining to the club. Camera Club members visit the Houston Museum of Fine Arts on a field trip. 238 Memorial's Photography Club, sponsored by Mr. William Pence and Mrs. Elaine Pritchett, was or- ganized this year to further in- terest in camera work, to give practice and practical advice to camera enthusiasts, and to build an experienced squad of student photographers. The group visited photography exhibits, a photog- rapher’s studio, and a TV station during the year, heard lectures on techniques of picture taking and processing, and exchanged ideas on equipment.
