Hoofprints, Best Buy at MHS ial Appearing originally last year as a one- sheet, three-penny paper, the Hoofprints expanded in size this year to four pages and in price to five cents. Published twice a week, Hoofprints was prepared by a small staff of Memorial students with the support of the journalism classes. Co-edi- tors Sheri Nelson and Julie Kefauver wel- comed all editorial comments and feature items from the student body itself, often joing to great pains to see that the censor didn’t completely demolish each master- piece before it went to press. Money was not a foreign subject to the Hoofprints staff, for the nickels kept rolling in every Tuesday and Friday after- noon during lunch. Business manager, Cindy Camp, and her helper, Linda Muel- ler, kept the funds under lock and key. Feature editor, Tim Fleck, and Illustra- tions editor, Bill Narum, provided the predominately female staff with the “checks and balances” which were often necessary in meeting deadlines.
