IN MEMORY Stars, I have seen them fall but when they drop and die, No star is lost at all. Each one of us is an individual, with our own personalities. But, it is only together that we are the Class of 1 98 1 . And whether it is yesterday, today, or tomorrow John was, is, and always will be a part of us, a part of the Class of 1 98 1 . With our greatest respect. To the memory of our classmate. JOHN ROSELLE 2

FAREWELL DR. JOHNSON This year our principal Dr. Kenneth L. Johnson left Middleboro High School to join the Southbridge Public Schools as their superintendent. We would like to wish him the best of luck and to thank him for his years of dedication and service at M.H.S. In the matter of personal relations, one encounters extreme difficulty rendering appropriately the emotion and the gratitude one feels on departure from a long-standing association. 1 freely submit my appraisal of the students of Middleborough High School: they are second to none. Over the years, 1 have witnessed increasingly pupil pride in the on-going task; reason outreaching wrath is social interplay; a growing concern for the school itself and for the quality function of the school: academic excellence: and, a commitment of the part of each student to mold resources into a viable whole, thus enabling a strong, personal contribution to society at large. I have learned many things during my tenure at Middleborough High School, and 1 thank all of you for providing the most indelible ingredient of my fondest recollections: you, the student body. Sincerely yours, Kenneth L. Johnson, D. Ed. Superintendent of Schools r Kenneth L. Jonson, D. Ed. WELCOME MR. WASSEL Joing Middleboro High School as its new principal is Mr. William S. Wassel. The class of 1981 would like to wish him a warm welcome and the best of luck in the coming years. To the Class of 1981: As you reflect on the years you have spent at M.H.S., I hope that you will be able to feel that they had a positive influence in preparing you for the years to come. Remember always that your future belongs solely to you. Our very able staff has worked hard with you over the last four years in the sincere hope that they have helped you realize your individual worth and your future potential. Although I only shared a small part of your high school years with you, I will always be grateful to you for so readily accepting me into your school family. Congratulations and may you find happiness and bring credit to your family, your school and your community. William S. Wassel Smcerely, William S. Wassel Principal 3
