Congratulations to the Class of 1964. After twelve years of public education, you have attained one of your most important objectives. Although for many of you this is the terminal point of your education, for others, this is merely a stepping stone to horizons unlimited. Whether your future plans include work, marriage, or further edu- cation, be sure that your goals are well defined. Remember that although prob- lems arise and temporarily obscure these goals, as clouds often obscure the heavens, knowing your direction and your goal will enable you to chart a steady course in the future. Charles L. Manos, Principal Members of the Class of 1964 : Clouds are but conjectural shapes, hurrying across the sky in unending procession, from day to day. Yet God must have had a purpose for man in their creation. Perhaps they are to remind him that time is fleeting. Available time is here and now. For, while you may anticipate the future, you can never regain the past. These past twelve years have been spent in anticipation of your imminent commencement. Time for you, from now on, is a precious commodity. Spend it wisely in gaining vocation, esteem, fortune and friends. Antici- pate the ultimate purpose of your existence and proceed in the fleeting moments to achieve this goal. My sincere best wishes to each of you, Joseph L. King, Vice Principal

• The class of 1964 can find no person more worthy of special mention than Mrs. Marion Whipple. As the advisor of Sil- ver M she has encouraged the recogni- tion of character and leadership in school affairs. As co-sponsor of the Humanities- Science classes she has brought to MHS a higher level of achievement and oppor- tunity. Above all else, however, she has given us a deeper understanding of all people, past and present, through her con- stant efforts in many enjoyable history classes.

Every high school graduate enters this exciting period of life looking forward to success. No amount of preparation nor planning can guarantee it; one must constantly work for it. As we look at the world about us, as we see man penetrating outer space, and as we observe his determination to learn the secrets of the universe, we know the future is beyond the clouds It is not for those afraid to face it and work for it; it is not for timid men without vision. May you, the Class of 1964, have the courage, the persistence, and the wisdom to look beyond the clouds and bring your expectations into reality. Sincerely, Stanley Kruszyna, Superintendent of Schools SEATED, left to right: James M. Bonnar, Jr., Vice-Chairman; C. Trafton Mendall, Chairman; Kathryn R. O ' Toole. STAND- ING: Richard B.
