Dedication A friend to many in our class since the seventh grade, Mr. James is appreciated by all for his marvelous sense of humor and warm smile. He has served as Class Advisor and National Honor Society Advisor. His classes in history and Problems have always been en- joyable and instructive; his coaching of the track team resulted in many victories. For all your encouragement and help to our class, we dedicate this yearbook to you, Mr. James, with many thanks.

Administration Members of the Class of 1962: Shortly after the crusades and almost as a direct result of these religious wars. Europe en- tered an exciting phase of the Medieval Period. This was the glamorous era of knights in full regalia, coats of arms, jousts and tournaments. This period of history made a deep and varied contribution to the culture of the world. One of these contributions was in the form of what was then called guilds, or associations of people en- gaged in the same kind of work. In these guilds were found apprentices, journeymen, and master craftsmen. Your education can be likened to this system in the following way. You served as an apprentice during your elementary years and entered high school as a journeyman. After grad- uation you start your term as a master craftsman, trained for additional schooling, nursing, or in- dustry. You will not in the beginning start as a feudal lord with a huge castle, but your castle may be compared to your future goal. Establish a goal; pursue it as the knights of yester-year did the Holy Grail and don ' t be deterred from your quest. My sincere best wishes for a successful future, CHARLES L. Coming, as it does, on the advent of atomic power and at the threshold of space travel, your graduation may find you over-conceited concern- ing these new found knowledges. You may be tempted to belittle the wisdom of the ancients. I challenge you to reflect upon your motto: His is the Way, the Light, and the Truth ; and to remember that America is founded upon and bulwarked by Christian principles set forth nearly two thousand years ago. No civilization down through the ages has developed a more equitable means of man ' s dealing with his fellow man.
