Tournaments help add extra points for the N.F.L. Chapter. Students participate in tournaments to gain honors. Speakers Gain Honorary Recognition ,Don Houser and Scot Herrick have achieved the degree of excellence. Memorial was granted a charter into the National Forensics League. This gives stu- dents an opportunity to participate in the N.F.L. debate and forensic tournaments. Four degrees can be achieved, Distinction, Excel- lence, Honor and Merit. Five M.H.S. students have the degree of Distinction. Council Administers Aid to Librarians Library Council was a service organiza- tion. Twenty-three members served the stu- dents and teachers of Memorial. The council members affiliated with the Student Library Assistants of Wisconsin. Car- ol Griffith, MHS senior was the 1969-'70 state president. G.A.A. members practiced for their volleyball tournament. Pam Christopher executed a head- stand, while Linda Close spotted her. Girls' Athletics Develops Agility Girls who enjoy sports of all kinds joined the Girls' Athletic Association which was un- der the direction of Mrs. Gunsolley. Due to increased use of the gym for the girls, additional athletic activities were un- dertaken this year. Girls participated in bas- ketball, tennis, and volleyball tournaments. Working on the uneven parallel bars was an opportu- nity given to Lynn Rulien and Cory Milward.
