Boys Enjoy Cooking Early in D e c e m b e r, the Boys' Chef classes exhibited for sampling their Christ- mas cookies along with those of the Home Ec. classes. This year the boys received experience in most aspects of cooking. Foods ranging from appetizers and salads, to main course dishes and meats, to desserts were prepared and served in an appealing manner. Fabrics and Foods Dominate Home Economics Experience in hospitality and serving was practiced on December 17, When the girls Home Ec. classes served an all-day open house for the staff and faculty of Memorial. The girls displayed '72 varieties of holiday cookies and had coffee for the teachers. Y Y .- .... ., . . . , Activities Improve Physical Fitness Romans recognized physical education as a means of training for War. Germany favored gymnastics, but this year physical education classes were devoted to helping the student develop his skill, power, efficien- cy, conditioning, attitudes, and understanding that would lead to his future well-being. Of- fered at Memorial were several opportunities to improve physical fitness in such activities as tumbling, archery, swimming, dancing, basketball, and golf. smssswm .sms la.a,,sm - .
