Deca Donates Students to Business Deca has accomplished a great deal dur- ing the last three years. The organization has made displays, presentations, and sold various types of clothing and household items. They were honored to have one of their seniors, Larry Prell, elected state Vice President. Supervised by Mrs. Rinaldi and Mrs. Cockson, the students involved held many sales, working for a trip to Green Lake for a State Leadership Conference. In addition to this trip, they also traveled to Minneapolis to visit the Federal Reserve Bank and Betty Crocker Kitchens. Judy Nelson purchases Tom Wat Kit supplies from Bev Brown and Sue Johnson. As YARK members, Debby Rudy and Linda Brum- berg take time to work with special education stu- dents. Eau Claire teenagers build enthusiasm for Project Stop. ef Students Serve Teenagers play an important part in com- munity life. A major undertaking for 1969 was Proj- ect Stop, sponsored by the Barrio. Students and parents participated in a 23 mile walk for hunger. Profits from the Walk went to the Cumberland Indians. Teens also had the opportunity to learn about our local police force through rides in squad cars. The Youth Association for Retarded Kids is an organization developed to give special attention to certain children. One of their spe- cial activities Was a Christmas party. Area youths displayed their talent in the Young Artist's Contest. This year, Mr. Tischer gained special no- tice in the community for adopting a set of Peruvian twins. M' jrjl .
