This year's affair. with all its gaiety, com- menced with Loyalty Day, and a rousing pep assembly put on by the Stump and Lyceum clubs. Along with the hilarious skit enacted by the boys. Cy Berg made the rafters ring with his traditional fight-team- fightflu Early Friday night our first Homecoming parade in several years enlivened the streets of Eau Claire. Floats and Pow XY'ow attendants in open convertibles added color to the festivities, and the cheerleaders led the rally, only to have our spirit crushed by last-second defeat at the hands of the XVausau Lum- berjaclcs. The climax of the weekend came Saturday night at the annual Pigskin Pow XVow dance. The Homecoming King and Vice-King, john Zurbachen and Rod Smith, were crowned at this time. The scope of this year's Homecoming activities will undoubtedly help perpetuate it as the most out- standing and enjoyable social event of the year.
