Under the leadership of this corp of officers the Girl Reserves is very active in school and community affairs Pictured above are Standing Barbara Aberg Nancy Olson jane Walker janet Quigg Prudy Larson Nancy Ander Honor, F 1del1ty son Miss Otteson Adzzior Seated Lynne Nelson Carol Milward Katy Paul son June Kopplin Sue Severson Elsie Kolka Kathy Smith and Dorothy Sorlie entertained the audience with a clarinet trio at the annual Girl Re serve Christmas Tea Once a year this organization holds a party for all members This year it was a halloween hobo party These girls are cutting faces on pumpkins which will provide a holiday atmos phere . 413'- X W. x'V3 wi This group of hobos is participating in the lively Mexican Hat Rock. Lunging at elusive apples was fun, but bar-b-cues and potato chips proved more accessible.

Through , Languages 9 Members of the French Club attracted the attention of their friends by wearing new club pins this year The French course of study included the making of menus by first year students and the reading of three French books during the second year At the regular social meetings members were encouraged to participate in dances and plays One of the highlights of thc school year the Sock Hop was sponsored by the French Club Learning the close association betvseen the Latin and English languages in the Symbolic of the foreign cultures representing our language department are the German lederhosen Latin laurel wreath Spanish vest and mask and French menu and barrette The Latin Club consisted of approxi mately sexenty fue students who took second year Latin under thc direction of Miss Bcrg Oncc cach month a mcting was hcld to con duct the ncccssary busincss and to present a program Some of the special activities in cluded a Christmas timc Roman breakfast and a work day when each mcmber was sold as a slave and donated his market price to the Foreign Student Fund An exhibit of mdivid ual projects at the spring meeting of the PT and a Roman Circus climaxed the year field of astronomy are Bill Linsey Judy Bushendorff and jean johnson Martha Nordin Sue Miller Rich Partlow jon Walhstrom Gail Dean and Erik Midelfort must overcome his Scandinavian Jean Otto of the first year French Club rehearse a humorous French play background in coping with guttural German speech inflections 45 r . 7 4 .y .
