'J Hot Lunch The School Lunch Room program has been very success- ful, being the hth year of serving nAH type lunch which, meets the minimum requirements of one-third ofthe child's daily nutriment, Every meal is planned to give these children the proper balanced diets at their school lunch which costs the students 2Gd. With the commodities received from the government andthe reimbursement checks, it has been self supporting. Here are the list of commodities received. Peaches, cherries, apples, prunes, peanut butter, honey, cheeses, dried eggs, dried milk, dried beans, tomato paste, orange juice, peas, green beans, tomatoes and shelled pecans. A total of S,232W.' The only charge for the above items was 1,QSLy0.82 for freight. Up tot March lst, we served 21,395 lunches, a daily average of 183 lunches. p Amount spent on groceries 92,936.60 and misoellanous :Q5166.6L4,. We received 231,302.26 on reimbursement checks, We have been very fortunate to have the splendid co- operation of Sup't K. W. Thistlethwaite as the past four years has certainly been a pleasure working in the lunch room.-' By the Marshalls and Helen Brewer.
