To show our appreciation for the excellent photography of our extra-curricular activ- ities, and time spent to help us in producing this yearbook, the Eighth Grade of 1959 ded- icate this edition to Dedication Mr. Ted McCutcheon This is the school -- Melrose, -- of Wallon Lake. They say it is a building. But it is moreg it is a living breathing unit composed of students, teachers, assistant teachers, music instructors, -- It is the last minute dash before the 9:15 bell. . . the scrape of chalk on the blackboards, the exchange of morning hello's between bus groups . . . recess scrambles to get out doors the chewed-up pencils used by some students in deep concentration during six-week And each has its place in the school. All are necessaryg all are important. As it took many blocks to build our school so it takes many living parts to make it whole.
