The High School I am the High School! Daily to me come boys and girls, Carefree, laughing and singing the songs of youth, Laughing, laughing with the exuberance of youth, In the morning they come, some thirsting for knowledge, Some as a matter of course, but all laughing. In the evening when the sun is yet high, they leave, Joyous and carefree, but to return on the morrow. In these halls I have seen the flowering of manhood, In these halls I have seen the blossoming of womanhood. New ideas come, ambitions, aspirations and yearnings, Longing for great deeds to do, new worlds to conquer. What will they be fifty, a thousand years from now? They know not.
