They organized a “Class T-Shirt campaign, par- ticipated actively in all-school ac- tivities and charities, and got a new site for the Junior Prom. This dedicated group meets regularly to discuss issues which are in the best interest of their class. J u n i 0 r C 1 a s s 0 f f 1 c e r s First Row: R. Glennon (secretary), T. The laborious assignment of ask- ing their fellow classmates daily in homeroom to donate their fair share for the benefit of the en- tire class treasury was no easy job. After nearly a month of hard work, a sizable amount of money was collected enabling the class to put an early deposit on a func- tion room for their junior prom. s t u d e n t C o n g r e s s Every large group needs a structured system of leadership. The student govern- ment at M.H.S. pro- vides the opportunity to learn what govern- ment is all about. Each class elects a president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, two representatives, and fifteen student congress members. Student government members participate in a variety of functions at M.H.S. These in- clude the Christmas party, the Halloween party. Junior and Senior Proms, the Winter Ball, Blood- mobiles, and supervi- sion of the smoking area. Student govern- ment members are also involved in state and local activities. F r e n c h C 1 u b This year ' s French Club had another wonderful year! Our Christmas party with the Italian Club was a huge success — everyone ate too much, as usual. Thanks to Patty for the pinata; it was great until Andy got to it! We look forward to challenging the Italian and Latin Clubs to a volleyball game and, of course, our trip to France planned for February vacation. We would like to ex- tend our thanks to Mary Degnan for doing a great job as President of the French Club and to Mrs. Dooley, our ad- visor, for all that she has done for us. Thanks for everything Dools! First Row: Mr. Hutchinson, J Scarborough, L. Iacoviello, C. Knox, L. Parsons, S. Sullivan, D. Fasano, C. Lineham. Second Row: C. Kerrigan, S. Ventola, L. Silva, P. Under the guidance of Mr. Reid, the older members pick new ones from the many ap- plicants. Unfor- tunately, the club was unable to par- ticipate in last year ' s volleyball game, but does plan to participate this year and leave the court in the true Roman spirit of victory. The Club held its annual meeting in the Resource Center, coinciden- tally during the yearbook photo session. First Row: K. Mccusker, B. Smith, P. Fanikos, J. Driscoll, L. Fasano, L. Lynch.
