This page is dedicated to Mr. John Hughes. During his years as an occupational education teacher at Melrose High School, Mr. Hughes has shown an uncommon dedication to his students. He is friendly while maintaining authority and understanding without being condescending. No teacher is more involved in student affairs than Mr. Hughes. The Log was without an advisor until he stepped in, sacrificing much of his free rime Nor only does he advise, he listens, and is always ready to accept other opinions John Hughes is a man respected by both teachers and students.
