The MH5 band is a group of one hun- dred musicians varying in age from thir- teen ro eighteen. In the fall of 1982, the band, including color guard ond ma- jorettes, endured the human-sacrifice of Saturday rehearsals ro prepare a fine half-time show for the annual football season The marching ' ' season culminated in a near perfect perfor- mance at Schaeffer Stadium in December After the Superbowl, however, all members were extremely glad to ex- change their hats and overlays for white turtlenecks and the serious music of concert season The band played its wide musical repertory at three concerts this year. These included the Winter con- cert in February, Band Night 80 in April, and May’s Band Pops Concert, the final performance for their 02 graduating seniors. Many thanks to Director Frank DeGiacomo for his hard work throughout the year.

Deon, A Copeland, D Buckley, 5 Smith, S Feinberg, M Guthro, D Dyson, S Donoghue, G, Biblos, S Desmond, Mr Freeman Thruston Frank The 1962-80 Debate season was extremely successful Thanks to some gentle prodding by Cooch Freeman Frank and the officers, the team practiced more dilligenrly than it hod in the past few seasons Although this team did nor go to any ma- jor tournaments, it kept busy debating at local high schools Seniors Dennis Buckley and Sheri Feinberg provided com- petition on the varsity level while the bulk of the ream debored on the intermediate level. Because of this, o large return of experienced debators was expected for the 1983-84 season. The teom shored some memorable experiences in- cluding: Tommy from Lynnfield, the Manchester Connection, Lexington Debotothon, Fruit Logs, the moon buggy, 4 ' 2 (meow), Soyree and oil the generic outfits Everyone hopes for more good rimes and lots of luck in the future. The quiz bowl team, led by Freeman Frank and consisting of ream members Dennis Buckley, Stephen D ' Agostino, Sheri Feinberg, David lacoviello, and Steven Stomotopoulos, mode it oil the way to the semi-finals on the Star Market Quiz Show. During the course of the season, the ream faced and defeated both Swompscott and Sronehom, and in the semi-finals lost a rematch to Sronehom. Many thanks to Mr. Frank for all his help.
