POWDER PUFF ADVERTISEMENTS A LETTER FROM THE EDITOR The other editors and I feel we have produced the best yearbook possible. It has taken a tremendous amount of time, energy, and effort, but we are quite pleased with the results. The theme, which is actually two-fold, is very clearly stated in the prologue, which appears on page one. Many times we do not realize the passage of time until it is too late. We have tried to capture the life of a senior, and the manner in which students revolve around the mood which is created here at Melrose High School. The cover clearly depicts the culmination of our senior year-our graduation. Our childhood and our lives as public school students have come to a close. We are ending a chapter in a time period of our lives. This ending is very similar to a sunset. As one day comes to a close, a new day begins immediately. We have completed one part of our lives, and we are now ready to begin another period. Look to this day . . . for yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision. But today well-lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. - The Sanskrit I wish to extend all of my thanks to everyone who has contributed to this yearbook, and also to the senior class. Most of all, I wish to thank all of the editors and staff members who worked so hard in producing this yearbook. I feel we have achieved our goal - to produce a comprehensive history of our high school years. So take the time to read it, flip through the pages and reminisce.
