The Melcher Football Team, defeated only once in eight games, enjoyed one of the finest seasons in its history this year. The defeat, coming in the last game of the season, was a hard fought contest at which the conference championship was at stake. We had a fine back- field even though we lost three out of four men from graduation last year. Through experience this year's line was better than last. Coach Kenneth Sypult had a difficult job this year coaching both the line and the .backfield because ofthe lack of an assistant coach, Mr. Sypult made the most of what he had and turned in one of the finest records in the state.
