Under the guiding hand of Miss Farely the following pupils started down the trail of education: Dwight Bachman, Glen Bucklew, Ray Darrah, Clarence Dittmer, Herb Dixson, Paul Ennis, Norma Hansaker, Frank I-Iaug, David Kouzlarich, Richard Kerr, Norma King, Marion Long, Margaret Mart, Bobby Stewart, Bertha Umble, Charlton Wheeler, David Willis, Delores Willis, Rodney Fisher, and Dwane Jones. We remember building a house in kinder- garten class. First grade with Miss Moore we lost Norma Hansaker, Dwane Jones, Bertha Umble, and gained Gene Keith, Ross Miller, Harry Rankin, Chet Tickle, and Don Quick. Second grade with Miss Fletcher we find we lost Ross Miller, Bobby Stewart, Harry Rankin, Gene Keith, Chet Tickle, Don Ouick, and Paul Ennis. But we gained Leo Herr, Bill Miller, Leorine Patterson, David Willoughby and Barbra Lost. Everyone got a whipping for talking when they were supposed to be quiet. Glen didn't think it hurt until he got the second whipping. Third grade under Miss Moore we gained Paul Ennis, Frank McCoy, Don Quick, Ardean Dabb, Bobby Fergusison, and lost Leorine Patterson, and Leo Herr. Miss Miller was our fourth grade teacher. We lost Paul Ennis, Bobby Fergusison, and gained Leo Harlow, Chet Tickle. Our teachers are growing in numbers as well as the number of students. Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Ritchie were our fifth grade teachers, We were increased by Tom Burgett, Jane Clark, Bill Miller, Delores Nofstger, Wayne Willis, Sarah Davis, Shirley Harding, and Marilyn Bachman. We lost Leo Harlow, Frank Haug, and Chet Tickle. Sixth grade was under the guiding hand of Mrs. Miller. That year we gained Dwight Marshall, Cecil Banks, and lost Frank McCoy, Norma King, and Shirley Harding. ' Our seventh grade started. with Mrs. Vrban and ended with Mrs. Liikie, Mrs. Moore and Mr. Reep. We gained that year Ken Smith, Jack Kingrey, Mary Agan, Dean Donahue, Jack Hyatt, Charles Ferguison, Eugene Stearns, Beulah Willoughby, Norma Hansaker, and lost Tommy Burgett, Dwight Marshall, Don Quick, and David Willis. Mr. Murphy and Mrs. Moore were our guardians in the eighth grade. Our only newcomer was Jim Wright. We were decreased in number by Charles Ferguison, Eugene Stearns, and Beulah Willoughby. Our Freshman year was a howling success with initiation. New faces were Clifford Becker, Loraine Hunt, and Maxine Hunt. Departing was Sarah Davis, Cecil Banks, Ardean Dabb, Jack Kingrey, Ken Smith, and Jim Wright. As Sophomores we were increased by Ralph Lang, Betty DeWitt, Bertha Umble, Don Grife and lost Wayne Willis. Our Junior year brought worries about the Junior-Senior Banquet. As we' can remember our theme was a three-ring-circus. This was the year we gained Ed Davison, Shirley Young, and Lowell Boles. We lost that year Bertha Umble, Cecil Bands, Betty DeWitt, Dwight Bachman, and Don Grife. The Senior year was the same as our Junior year. The Seniors are Marilyn Bachman, Glen Bucklew, Herb Dixson, Ed Davison, Alberta Dabb, Loraine Hunt, Jane Clark, Norma Hansaker, Jack Hyatt, Maxine Hunt, Delores Nofstger, Dean Donahue, Mary Agan, David Willoughby, Delores Willis, Bill Miller, Bill Schrader, and Lowell Boles. Glen Bucklew, Delores Willis, Herb Dixson, and Margaret Mart are the only Seniors who started in 1939 and have gone all thirteen years at the Dallas Consolidated School. V Class Will We, the Senior Class of 1951-'52 declare the following to be our last will. To our teachers we leave our ability to keep study hall and all of our classes very quiet and orderly. We also leave our ability to get to classes on time. To the Juniors we leave our seats and of course all of our precious books, which helped us to graduate. To the Sophomores we leave our ability to get A's in all of our shorthand tests. To the Freshmen we leave our brilliant minds that gave us the right of ever graduating. We bequeath the following to individuals in the classes under us: Dean Donahue wills his bashfulness to Della Denison, don't let it get rusty Della, Dean also wills his walk to Doris if she will give it as much swing as he does, and to Gene Stull he wills his ability to get all the claps in his class play. Norma Hansaker wills her basketball suit to Beverly Woods, so Bev you'll have to start growing in order to fill it out, Norm also leaves her ability to keep home economics going strong to Shirley Crandell, and to anyone who is fast with a foot, she leaves her ability to trip people. Loraine Hunt wills her height to Donald McElwee, and to Dela Dennison she wills her ability to get along with the coach, also to Bonnie she wills her experience in romance. Maxine Hunt wills her ability to get A's in shorthand and her ability to keep her boy friends to Allyene Beeman, to Betty S. she leaves her red slacks. Don't forget to wear them to all basketball games Betty. Jack Hyattiwills his ability to argue in economics to Pete Hansaker, to Bob A. he leaves his ability to always get stuck on mud roads at the wrong time. Margaret Mart wills her ability to blush and to make wisecracks to Janice Wright, she leaves her short hair to Frueh, she also leaves her height to Danial Mason, you'd better hurry up and grow Danial. Bill Miller wills his whiskers to Paul Davis, keep them growing Paul, he leaves his ability to be study hall teacher to Don Nolte, think you'll make it Don? Delores Noftsger wills her long fingernails to Venita Hyatt, she leaves her ability to keep the boys running to Ada Davis, it takes practice Ada, and to Ellen she leaves her long earrings, keep them shiny Ellen. Bill Schrader wills his car to anyone who is able to run it without running out of gas in the strangest places, always at the wrong time. David Willoughby wills his boxing ability to Janice W. , to Gene Stull he wills his ability to always get to set by the lady teachers. Delores Willis wills her levis to David Robuck, better start reducing David, she also leaves her ability to tell jokes to Mary Burt. Alberta Dabb wills her coat hanger to anyone who wants it, it seems some- one else uses it all the time anyway, to Evelyn she leaves her giggle, and to Ellen she leaves her ability to talk all the time. Edward Davison wills his beard to Norma F. if she'll keep it clean, he leaves his name of Model Student to Orval Davis, and to Lloyd Mart he leaves his ability to baby sit. Herb Dixson wills his ability to carry all the boys to a dance in one car to Bob A. , to Ross Miller he leaves his love for the girls, and to Richard Burgett he leaves his famous muscles. Mary Agan wills her Model A. to Betty S. , she wills her ability never to be tardy to Doris. Lowell Boles wills his shoes to Bob to wear through his last year of school, if he will keep them polished, he wills his ability to be liked by the boys as well as by the girls to Norma F. , going to take a little practice Norma, so you'd better work hard. Glen Bucklew wills the knowing at how to get along with the girls to Paul Davis, and he also wills his no count pitching arm to Daryl Roberts. K Senior Class Prophecy Dear Marilyn, You have written me many times asking about your fellow classmates. Up until a few months ago I had not succeeded in keeping track of but a few of them. At that time I took my much needed vacation and here is what my trip uncovered. On the first lap of my journey I landed in DesMoines and who should I meet but Jack Hyatt. He was selling vegetables and eggs at a vegetable stand. He said they were fresh from the farm ----- his own farm, of course. As I walked on up the street I saw a poster which read: See The Champion ship Bout Tonight. Joe Walcott vs. Killer Willoughby. Do you suppose Killer could be a nickname for David? Having nothing better to do while I waited on my bus I attended a fashion show. I was enjoying myself immensely when I thought I recognized one of the models. Yes, it was Alberta Dabb. I didn't get to stop and talk to her but I gathered she was doing quite well in her profession. Rushing to the station I found my bus prepared to leave. As I handed the bus driver my ticket I was surprised to find it was a woman. Looking closer, I found it to be none other than Margaret Mart. A good bus driver too. A few days later we arrived at a small town named Brett, at which we stopped for a rest. While reading the small town paper I found the annual Hobo Convention had been held here recently. It had elected a king and queen, who were none than Herb Dixson and Deloris Willis, respectively. My thoughts were broken by a commotion outside. When I looked to see what was the matter I saw our trusty bus driver throwing out an evident stow- a-way. It was none other than Bill Miller. And when a big strong man came to the rescue, I recognized him as Lowell Boles. Driving through the big city of Chicago brought many new experiences, es- pecially when I saw Ed Davison sweeping the streets with his little broom and dustpan. Later as I walked into a large department store I saw Maxine Hunt hurrying out. I discovered this had been a big day in her life. She said she got tired of waiting, so she joined the Waves. Proceeding on up the street I met a woman dressed in mink and with jewels around her neck and on her arms. If she hadn't spoken to me I'm sure I wouldn't have recognized her as the former Jane Clark. From the size of the ring on her left hand I'rn certain she and her husband, Clifford, are quite well off. In a smaller town farther south, I decided to visit a home founded for the feeble-minded. I walked in and who should I meet but Norma Hansaker. She said she liked her work very much. Upon visiting the Ozarks I received a great surprise. I met Bill Schrader standing in the middle of the road trying to get his donkey out of the way. He said he liked the country around there. You didn't have to do any work. Riding in the bus didn't prove very entertaining, so I turned on my porta- ble radio. As I tuned in a station I heard a melodious voice singing, C1ancey Lowered The Boom. When she finished I heard the announcer say it was the voice of Mary Agan. I wonder if this could be the one I used to know? Deeper still into the Ozarks I visited a show one night put on by a band of gypsies. The music consisted of an orchestra made up of several tawny men playing sweet potatoes and guitars. The leader of this rare orchestra was none other than Mr. Simmons. The main attraction was a girl, 'called lDelores who danced and sang. I thought I recognized her as the1Delores Noftsger I knew, but I can't be sure because she disappeared after the show and couldn't be found. Stopping at Atlantic City I was delighted to view the Miss America contest. There representing Alaska was Loraine Hunt. I am happy to say she won. Wanting to see a big league game I hurried to New York to see the Yankees play. It was a wonderful game and even this brought on a familiar face. I saw a pitcher hurrying across the field. A pitcher of water, I mean, and who should be carrying it but Glen Bucklew the Yank's favorite water boy. This leaves only one person unaccounted for, but I'm sure you have heard of him. The actor most idolized by the American women, Dean Donohue. J l-v--.1-up-up---vw-. ,... Y ..,...,.,,,.-,.,. , .-.---.fn---...vu-. .v-.-..-,--f-- .....-.-- ,, W -. .:.,.Ts1-.'ww'.- .- KX.
