Senior Will of 1951 The Senior Class of 1951, being of not quite sound mind but with intentions of finding a sound one someday in years to come leave the following will to their suc- cessors: To the faculty, which has instructed us in the wisdom of the ages, we bequeath an unbroken succession of restful nights and peaceful dreams. We realize that Seniors are hard to manage as our bumps of egotism has not yet been shaved down by the sharp knife of adversity, and we have nothing but words of praise for them. We hope that those who follow us will in all things try to raise our dear old high school in love and esteem for the community. Garland Burgett wills his ability to get the lowest grades in typing class to Eddie Davidson, and his ability to get along with others to Mary Agan. Phyllis Goode wills her desk to Bony Crandall. May you always be surrounded by boys as Phyllis was. You'll learn that you can't think for the noise. Gary Wallace wills his brilliant brain to Pete Hansaker. We hope you find it whenever you need it, Gary never seems to. Vance Friday wills his ability to do nothing to anyone who feels he can get away with it as he always did. Gerald Mathes wills his forever saying, I told you so, to whoever gets stuck taking it. May it get you as far as it did Gerald. KThe front row., Lloyd Frueh wills his ability to get A's without Studying to Bill Miller. May you be another Einstien as Lloyd always thought he would be. Gregory Vrban wills his ability to make the least in Home Economics to Dick Roberts. That is, if you ever take it. Leonard Estes wills his dishpan hands to Delores Noftsger. Get a good brand of hand lotion, Delores. Carol Harvey wills her seat in the Sophomore row to anyone Mr. Haynes sees fit in putting there. Glenna Anderson wills her Model A, Pete, to anyone who needs a sure and quick way to school. Delores Willis gets 10 pounds of sugar, too? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Merry Bote leaves her luck to make out tests and schedules for Mr. Blake to Marilyn Bachman and Norma Hansaker. May you always get fouled up doing it as Merry did. The Three Stooges will their ability to be the meanest devils in school or any- where for that matter, to who will be able to act as silly and as stupid as Glenna, Merry, and Carol. Last, but not least, we will our sponsor, Mr. Haynes, to anyone who wants him. Watch him, though, he's crafty. 15

Senior Class Prophecy May 10, 1971 Dear Friends: As you know, I have been traveling over the United States. Here is just a line or two to tell you some of the surprises that hit me along the way. I went by plane to the West Coast and on arriving, I stepped from my plane and ran straight into Merry Maitre, the former Merry Bote, and her French Poodle. To us, she is still Miss Proxie the all American basketball star. As I entered the station's outer lobby I spied a face of astonishmentg there be- fore my eyes was Gary Wallace. Mr. Wallace was scared from ear to ear--he is now the most punch drunken fighter in the racket. Our visit was cut when it was an- nounced my plane was ready to leave. Next I stopped at Salt Lake City and from here I was going on in a train. I went down to the railroad station to get my ticket and as I passed the tracks a train pulled in. Cn it was a very dirty old bum, none other than Mr. Haynes. He was scurring to get off before the RR Bull came along. Gig Vrban, the detective, was hot on his trail. As I rode along in the train I purchased a magazine. I was glancing through it and I saw Garland Burgett's picture. Underneath it read, Wanted: Horse Thief. I also saw a picture of Gerald Mathes and his wife Carol. It said they now have the largest family in New York's Shanty Town. After I read awhile I started a tour of the train. I learned that Vance Friday was the engineer. Most unfortunately the train I was on met up with an accident and I was taken to the city hospital in Ontario, Canada. In charge was an old lady, Mrs. Glenna Mathes. Glenna is now taking care of her own cuts and bruises. She didn't want me to return home for awhile so I took a hotel room. There was no room service and only one maid who turned out to be Phyllis Goode. She scrubbed floors at night and taught school in the day. The bellhop who carried my bags was Lloyd Frueh. He now has humped shoulders and wooden legs. The day before I was to leave I entered a cafe and saw a man flipping pancakes. I-le was the owner, Leonard Estes. I always knew working in the kitchen would help him. When I reached home, I resolved never to take another trip. Do you blame me 7 A Friend 16
