Since the team lacked helpht, they hed to deoend on fast passing and pressing defense. The oasslng attack developed to the point where it was described as a little short of colossal. M lch ' ' ' e er s offense scored an average of 38 points per game while holding the opponents to an average of 32. Graham headed the off- ense with a total of 361 noints. Melcher really hit its stride in the County Tournament when it swamped Swan 120 to 5. In the second round Melcher lost to Knox- ville 38-34, and to Bussey in the Consolation round. In the Sectional Tournament they gave Runnels the Bum's Rush. 51- 21 and c.-me been the following Friday, only to be ncsed out S53-31 in the last seconas by Carlisle.
