FRESHMAN CLASS -4 77's Row 1. J. Hayes, C. Solignsni, A. Scott, J. Smith, M. Seddon D. Auxier. Row 2. E. Harkin, J. Poulsen, F. Zamberletti, J. Perry, D. Sams, B. Carson, T. McLeod. Row Z5. P. Moeller, S. Irving, D. McCullough. B. Vander Eckan On the opening day of school, eighteen Freshmen entered Melcher High School. True to fashion, this year's crop of Freshmen were as green and timid as each prece ding class. By the time six weeks had passed, however, the Freshmen were veteran Hleh School students, ac- cepted by the upperclassmen as good pals in their own right. Football seems to have been the most popular outside activity for the male members of the class. Zamberletti, Harkin, and McCullough received first string berths on the team, with Poulsen burning up the gridiron as an A-l Substitute. Though not on the Varsity basketball team, Scott, Seddon, and Moe- ller each traveled steadily with the girls' team and saw action in many of their contests. Scott shows great promise as a forward. Music had the interest of several Freshmen students. Solignanl, Smith, Hayes, Moeller, Poulsen, Perry, Carson, and McCullough cuall- fied for Mrs. Stoneburner's Mixed Chorus. Much is expected from this Freshmen class. Time passes rapidly, we predict great things for this class of 1950. fresident- ----- J. Perry 'ice President - -J. Poulsen ecretary ------ A.
