Its main purpose is to try to show teen-agers that they can have a lot of fun without drinking alcoholic beverages. This aim is furthered by having parties and other activities at which alcohol is not permitted. The Allied Youth also puts on assemblies in which the evils of alcohol are pointed out. M, H. S.'s Allied Youth has about 20 members and it is rapidly growing. There is no pledge required to join, as they hope to thoroughly convince their members that alcohol is a curse. Mr. Robert L. Blubaugh is the sponsor of Allied Youth.

It thereby enables the student to become a more valuable citizen with a satis- fying feeling of confidence and vocational competency. The Co-op student's day is divided into four hours of study in the morning, during which he devotes two periods to Co-op classes: one to Generally Related Study and one to Specifically Related Study. The two remaining periods are devoted to other sub- jects. During the afternoon, the student is trained at least four hours in a socially accepted vocation.
