The main project of the Student Council this year was the operation of the Green and White, a concession stand for the students' convenience during both lunch hours. Through these projects the Student Council has endeavored to serve the student body and the administration to the best of its ability. Student Council President MARCELEEN RODES STUDEN The purpose of the Student Council is to obtain a better relationship between the student body and the administration. Under the guidance of the officers and sponsor, Mr. Swanson, the Council has undertaken the projects of selling student cards, bulldog book covers, and the in- stallation of a pay telephone for the students' use.

The Honor Society is an organization whose object is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character and honesty in the students of Melbourne High School. Membership in the Honor Society is open to any sophomore, junior or senior who has maintained a ninety-three or above scholastic average for the preceding semester and meets the standards of leadership, character and service.
