BASEBALL The MHS sports outlook wasn't dimmed with the arrival of the '57 baseball squad. The Melbourne team got off to an early start, topping the Vero Beach Indians Q5-Oj and the Lakeview Red Devils Q5-31. The Bulldogs are coached by Bob Blubaugh, who took over John Knox's duties. Bill Morrison is the only active Senior on the team, after losing a list of stars from the '56 showing, but the future is as bright as its splendid beginning. Whether or not the fighting nine will be able to cop titles that have recently evaded the hands of MHS will be an- swered as the season wears on. The Bulldog baseball nine has seven returning lettermen on which to base their hopes, and with the exception of Morrison all will be returning to the field for another Green and White season next spring. They are: john Leffingwell, Eddie Parsons, Gary Maris, Red Alder- man, Spence Guerin, Carl Morin, Clint Dare, Dave Dryden, Don Gramrner, Ed- mund Redding, jim Raley, Bob Lazenby, Tom Gardner, and Howard Guilhaus.
