The main objective of the course is to give scientifically minded students an oppor- tunity to delve into fields of science particularly of interest to them. Mr. Einem, di- rector of the class, is encouraging his scientific charges to learn to work independently, facing their own problems as they confront them. Being an expert in several fields himself, Mr. Einem is ready to assist the young scientists in any way he can. The Science Fair at Melbourne included many of the outstanding projects that the students had been working on since the first of the year. Own mA 1 ke, YM

It marked the annual Science Fair held at Melbourne. This was the second fair held at our High School and it proved a tre- mendous success. The many projects covered over three of the science classrooms and drew people from all over the county. The above winners will go to the Gainsville Science Fair and compete for even bigger prizes. All of the above are Science Research smdents except for four, which all goes to prove that science has really taken a hold at Mel-Hi this year. All students are encouraged to be thinking about projects for next year when Mel- bourne will stage its third Science Fair.
