Our Future Nurses Club of Melbourne High School was started in March 1955. There were approximately ten regular members in that first year. Last year we had about six- teen, and this ,year we have a total of twenty-six members. Our meetings are held once a month at the homes of different members. We have had several guest speakers visit our club. We have had two district meetings. One was held in Cocoa and one in Orlando. Our girls have attended three state conventions. In 1955, it was held in Tampa, in 1956 at St. Petersburg, and this year it will be held in jacksonville. Last year a number of our girls attended a course in home nursing and are now prac- ticing at the hospital. Our uniforms are green and white pin-stripe jumpers with white blouses. Our sponsor is Mrs. Arthur Tedford of Eau Gallie.
