Last year we had about six- teen, and this ,year we have a total of twenty-six members. Our meetings are held once a month at the homes of different members. We have had several guest speakers visit our club. We have had two district meetings. One was held in Cocoa and one in Orlando. Our girls have attended three state conventions. In 1955, it was held in Tampa, in 1956 at St. Petersburg, and this year it will be held in jacksonville. Last year a number of our girls attended a course in home nursing and are now prac- ticing at the hospital. Our uniforms are green and white pin-stripe jumpers with white blouses. Our sponsor is Mrs. Arthur Tedford of Eau Gallie.

The Co-op program of our school is based on the philosophy that each student should have the opportunity to discover and develop to the fullest extent his interests and abilities. It thereby enables the student to become a more valuable citizen with a satis- fying feeling of confidence and vocational competency. The Co-op student's day is divided into four hours of study in the morning, during which he devotes two periods to Co-op classes: one to Generally Related Study and one to Specifically Related Study. The two remaining periods are devoted to other sub- jects. During the afternoon, the student is trained at least four hours in a socially accepted vocation.
