Not only life, but freedom itself must find regeneration from youth. ln every generation, youth presses for this achleivement. Each generation has the right to build its own world with the materials of the past, cemented by the hopes of the future. p Older men declare war, but it is youth that must fight and die. And it is youth who must inherit the tribulations, sorrow, and triumphs that are the aftermath of war. Youth can bring the courage, the ideals, and confidence which can erect a new society in America. You have a great heritage. You are receiving and finding homes built by your forebearers, but you have an even greater heritageg that isthe heritage of religious faith and morals. There is no problem which confronts our country that you can not solve within the frame-work. We know you will carry forward. We wish you to carry it with the dauntless assurance of your forebearers who faced the chill of the ocean, the danger of the forrest and deserts, the lon-liness of the pioneer days to build upon this continent a dedication to justice and liberty for the dignity of the individual man.
