GIRLS' ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION The Girls' Athletic Association is a newly organized group under the direction and leadership of Miss Jane Leaf, It consists of girls who are interested in and enjoy any kind of sports, The girls earn letters and awards according to a point systern. The sports involved include indi- vidual sports as well as group activities. Usually the sports consist of intramural activi- ty, but occasionally events are planned in competition with other schools.

FUTURE TEACHERS The Future Teachers of America has as its primary goal the encouragement of the adoption of a teaching career by high school youth. In doing so the Melbourne F. T. A. , lmder the guidance of Miss Marianne Browning, gives the members a glimpse of teach- ing by allowing them the actual opportunity for trying it out. p In acquainting prospective teachers with both the labors and rewards of the pro- fession, the F, T.A. helps students to plan and prepare for an active life of service. ,
