STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council is designed to give a better relation between the students and faculty. Through the aid of the Student Council the students leam to improve the school. The officers are: President, Charlie Layneg Vice President, Doris Strvoudg Secretary, Marceleen Rodes, Judicial Chairman, Richard Gardner, and Treasurer, Rodney Wofford. The Student Council has completed many worth-while projects this year. Among these are the selling of theater cards and Melboume High book covers. The sponsor Mr. Adkison and Jim Platt attended the annual Southem Association of Student Councils Convention in Jackson, Mississippi this year. Students from the seventh and twelfth grades are elected as representatives from their various classes to be on the Council.
