SU F TBHLL 3 A nice sunny day turned up and from the school house 25 girls turned out in full bloom for spring soft ball. The first few nights of practice proved to be successful. Plenty of action followed. The girls were soon sorted out and positions were being filled. On the pitcher's mound two girls fought hard to outdo the other. This is the way they stood. Shirley Hughes--plenty of grit and fire. Gladys Albin--u faithful backer upper. Norma Simoson--nothing could pass her. Lucille Capps--a sure hitter and seldom missed Q ball. Eleanor Groves--a good second brsemcn, and gifted with the ability to keep up the chatter. Bonnie Compton--a new addition, but : mighty good third. Ardis Reininger--e swell short, with L good throw and re dy for acticn behind the bet. Evelyn Ki i , stcr--the one we could always depend on catching :nd at the bat too. Velma Little--small but cin sho get 'em. Alma Clem--always on when it came to the bet. Margaret Blanksme--a good steady fitlder. Fern Chase--full of life and ready for action.
