HISTORY In the year of 1951 a group of 51 young people from the grade schools of Mergs county met for a trrp through Mergs High School They had gathered together a large amount of baggage rn the form of a bunch of dates fresh from the tree of Hrstory sectrons ofAr1thmet1c and even a supply of grammar Each person had the requlred trcket a certrfrcate of promotron from the last statron the Erghth Grade Promptly at the stroke of 8 30 the group answered the Conductor s call of all aboard Yes before they knew it they were started ont therr trip rn the Tram of Knowledge They were grven seats rn the Freshman sectron whrch was equrpped wrth a frne dinrng car where capable Chefs better known as teachers supplred everyone wrth food of mental growth Bobby Nelson was elected presrdent of the group and Mrs I R.
