There are those who give lit- tle of the much which they have — and they give it for recogni- tion and their hidden desire and makes their gifts unwholesome. And there are those who have little and give all. These are the believers in life and the bounty of life, and their coffer is never empty. These are those who give with joy and that joy is their reward. And there are those who give with pain and that pain is their baptism. And there are those who give and know not pain in giving, nor do they seek joy, nor give with mindfulness of virtue Kahil Gibran Dedicatee In our selfish world of today most people give to receive credit from society for having done a good deed. There are, however, a few left who give themselves because they care — really care. We feel the man to whom the 1972 REFLECTOR is dedicated is one of those who care. The man we chose, being a modest person, would not want a long, flowery description of his work at Mehlville. However, we cannot fail to observe his personal interest in his students and his constant efforts to improve our school, doing many things which we often take for granted. There is no better way to show our appreciation for the unselfish endeavors of this man than by dedicating our long hours of work on this yearbook to Mr. Richard Seibel.
