Responding to a Challenge To rise to new levels of accomplishment is a challenge. In 1948 a graduating high school senior responded to this challenge by continuing his education and preparing for his chosen career teaching. He received a B.S. in Education from Southeast Missouri State College, and furthered his education by earning a Master of Arts degree from George Peabody College. He has been on the staff at Mehlville since 1958, serving as a teacher in the social studies department and as a guidance counselor. Not only has he been a classroom teacher, but for the past twelve years he has been responsible for the production of Mehlville ' s yearbook. Through his diligent effort and guidance, a pictorial remembrance of high school days has been provided for hundreds of Mehlville students. For these reasons the 1971 REFLECTOR is dedicated to our deserving staff sponsor, Mr. Raymond E. Karcher.
