U Q c 1 'Y' M' 'W 3v 0 L A vigorous, growing school system is the living proof of a pro- gressive, dynamic community. On fanuary 27, l95l, the citizens of Mehlville approved, by a substantial margin, a 3208000 bond issue to finance the building program, now in progress. Although not designed to bring expansion to the Senior High School, the building program will provide for a new cafeteria and several new junior high classrooms at the south end of the High School, in addition to other improvements at Forder School for the elementary grades. The nation is becoming more aware of the importance of ade- quate education in these troubled times. The need for educational improvement is mounting with each passing year. The task of expanding the physical facilities of the schools demands immediate attention. It is gratifying to know that the citizens of this district have responded to that urgent need.
