ANNA RENE DALTON I was born to Mr and Mrs T L Dalton on September 1 1911 I started to school rn Megargel Texas and fll llShCd rn the same school rn the ftrst class to graduate ln the new bulldmg I went on to beauty school fmlshed and worked a year I marrled my husband Dave Turner and was blessed w1th two mtelllgent and beautlful daughters They gave us SIX grandchlldren and as of now two great grandchrldren What else could you ask for except all of them are Chrrstlans I have hved most of my tlme rn Texas and rlght now am IH Graham Texas I have been assoclated wrth Stanley Home Products Inc for thlrty flve years and could not thmk what II would be hke wlthout II I have won lots of excltmg trtps and awards for hard work and long hours but lt has pald off m new cars and a n1ce retlrement I stlll thmk we had a good hfe ln Megargel Hlgh School When I walked m the cafe not knowmg who I was lookmg for to help plan th1s I looked over to the right and saw four men no women I dCCldCd that was the place Some of them I had not seen slnce graduatron You know what I was very comfortable w1th those guys that tells you somethmg trme doesn t change everythmg I d hke to dedrcate what tmy b1t I have rn thls to my frlend, Babe Brown . . . . , . 1 ' s s 9 . . . VELMA HADEN I was born to W J and Donnle Haden January 8 1912 ln Ballmger Texas My father was a farmer at Megargel on Ollle Hayter s farm then moved to Megargel and ran the newspaper The Megargel Post untll he d1ed I started school at Bltter Mound Country School between Olney and Megargel then moved to Megargel m thrrd grade Mrs J E Branson was my flrst teacher I graduated 1n Megargel and got marrled the same year to B J Jones We have three chlldren two boys and one glrl One son Dale dled January 12 1988 I have erght grandchlldren and fxve great grandchlldren I now l1ve rn Olney at 1402 Mockrngbrrd Lane Apt 10B Olney Texas ZELMA IRENE HADEN and Donnre Haden I went to Brtter Mound Country School untrl the thlrd grade I went to Megargel School unt1l I graduated rn 1929 After graduatlon I went to work for the Haskell Telephone Company I also worked Wlfh Southwestern Assoclated Telephone Company and General Telephone Company for 15 years I worked at the Megargel Post Offlce for three years and was also bookkeeper for the Magnolra Petroleum Company I was later employed by South Western Publlc Servrce Company out of Plamvrew Texas for 17 years I also worked for Proneer Natural Gas For I0 years I was c1ty secretary for the Clty of Kress Texas whrle helpmg my husband w1th hrs msurance busmess I marrred July 6 1945 My famlly conslsts of two grrls Margo and Anna I have no grandchrldren I retlred w1th my husband February 1 1979 We now lrve 1n Kress Texas, Box 244 400 East Ma1n ' 9 7 ' 9 9 ' I was born Zelma Irene Haden at Ballinger, Runnels County, Texas to W.
